| Intentions Duet #2 : Good IntentionsElla FrankSortie le 21 juin 2021 Quatrième de couverture :
I was never the man who believed in love, romance, or happily ever afters. I was married to my work, and happy to be that way. Until one night, not too long ago, when an audacious young man lied his way into my life and showed me what I’d been missing.
Bold and sexy, with a face that could melt through the iciest of exteriors, Gabriel Romero is the one factor I never saw coming. There are so many reasons we shouldn’t work—my age, his, our career goals in life—and yet we are drawn together by a passion for music, and each other, that neither of us can deny.
I’ve always been the one to think things through, to follow my head instead of my heart. But if I don’t open myself to what’s possible, instead of thinking of all the ways this seems impossible, I might miss out on the best thing that has ever happened to me.
So I’m taking a chance, and laying myself at his mercy, opening my heart with nothing but good intentions. Only time will tell if Gabriel Romero decides to let me back in. Good Intentions is the second book in the Intentions Duet. | |

| I just finished the second volume in the Intentions duology, and I truly loved it. Ella picked up right where we were left off in the first book : Gabe pissed off by Marcus.
What I enjoyed the most was that there was no drama ! Everything was solved by discussion (and sex lmao) and was level-headed, that’s totally my jam. I hate it when there is unnecessary drama. Marcus and Gabe talked like adults about their issues throughout the book, making adjustments when needed, slowly building strong foundations to their burgeoning relationship. Their relationship seems to be moving fast but it didn’t shock me as both protagonists live their lives to the fullest because who knows what tomorrow is made of ?
The secondary characters were as always great. The only one I missed though was Ryan, that we didn’t see as much as I thought: but his meeting with Marcus aka his boss’ boss in his kitchen in underwear was epic ! I hope he will have his own book soon <3 Abby, Marcus’ sister, is also an interesting character, I wish to see more of her in the future, she must have a hell of a story. We got to meet Gabe’s parents at an interesting family dinner ;) They were so accepting of their son and his choice, it warmed my heart, when we know what bad reactions some parents have.
We also got amazing scene between Logan and Gabe, and let’s be honest Logan ALWAYS steals the show, both fun and sincere. I truly enjoy Logan on page time, he is the best character ever written. He gave advice to Gabe, throwing us back to the Temptation series with his difficulties at the beginning of his relationship with Tate. When Gabe mention his motorcycle accident, Logan broke my heart when he remembered Tate’s.
We also saw my favorite trio EVER : Priest, Robbie and Julien, which made my day ! Each in a different situation but Robbie is still a princess in every way possible and made me laugh so hard when he appeared !
I can’t say more about story without spoiling it, but the heart of it was how to approach a relationship that seems doomed ? How to bare your heart without any idea if your feelings are reciprocated ? Ella wrote about it brilliantly and stole my heart in the process. Marcus and Gabe’s story might be over be but we will see them again, because I am sure Ella is not done with the Chicagoverse. Enjoy the ride, you won’t be disappointed <3
